Traveling Day

 Friday was a long day.  15 people crammed in a van from 3:00 am to about 7:30 pm, but we finally arrived at our destination in Atlanta, had some pizza and got settled in. After we got everything set up in the sanctuary we were able to sit down in the pews and spend some time talking about the ministry and talking about the details of our stay and expectations. We had some good share out time as we looked ahead to the work we'll be doing here in Atlanta.  There is a little nervousness, but I think everyone is excited to dive in.  Please pray for us as we head out on route today (I am writing this Saturday morning).  It is raining, but warm.  We'll be heading out around 11:15 am CST.  Kim and I are looking forward to heading out with this group.  It's going to be a great couple of days!

Today is our packing day! We have been meeting on Thursdays at lunch to pray and plan for our trip. Finally, early tomorrow morning (2:30 AM) we leave!  Please pray for safe travels and for a great day of bonding as we spend 15 hours with 15 of us in a 15 passenger van:).  

We will be posting updates to our blog each day (probably late at night) to fill you in so you can see what our team is up to in Atlanta!
